Discover Exoplanets

IDENTITY / DIGITAL / PRINT / ILLUSTRATION

A series of graphics and illustrations developed for the Discover Exoplanets traveling exhibit.

The Discover Exoplanets exhibition provides an introduction to the search for life on other planets, and the tools NASA scientists use to search for exoplanets. The “Big Idea” for this exhibition is “NASA is finding habitable worlds in our own stellar neighborhood.”

The exhibit aimed to creatively display the projects of NASA's Jet Propulsion Library. Utilizing posters designed by NASA JPL, a standalone banner was crafted to form a mural for library visitors to color. Drawing from the theme of "travel" depicted in the posters, the ultimate design was influenced by vintage travel postcards.

Exhibit Banner Illustrations

Cartoon planets and satellites were made to add more fun and interest to the exhibit banners.

These illustrations were created for an exhibit interactive where patrons line up 4 positive situations to sustain life on their exoplanet. Opponents can also block the exoplanets habitability by placing a negative situation.
