BLUE WHALES At Your Library
Client: STAR Net Libraries | HHMI Tangled Bank Studios
This national STEM initiative engages libraries and communities by providing accessible educational materials centered on the blue whale—the largest animal ever to live—and the science used to study it. It also equips library staff, educators, and families with hands-on activities, resources, and guidance that help inspire scientific curiosity, deepen appreciation for the natural world, and connect audiences to the new Giant Screen film BLUE WHALES: Return of the Giants.

The client needed roll-up banners featuring key information from BLUE WHALES: Return of the Giants. They also requested supplemental illustrations highlighting local animals for each participating library. Additional deliverables included activity guides formatted to match existing materials and support hands-on STEM engagement.

Banners were created using existing assets to reflect the content of BLUE WHALES: Return of the Giants. I also illustrated the specific animals each library requested for their customized banners. In addition, I formatted and illustrated two activity guides designed to complement the banners.
